The Musical Nation Project is an altruistic enterprise led by American Frank Colon and Brazilian Daniel Figueiredo, whose intent is to produce and release at least one audio/video product (CD, DVD, etc.) per year. This project will join musicians with their compositions, instruments, rhythms, sounds and vibes from all around the world, making use of the rapid and instantaneous exchange of ideas and information primarily via the internet. Besides including the participation of internationally recognized artists, the project will also invite and benefit from the musicality of up-and-coming new talents, whose contributions will be obtained via email and regular postal mail. As a fundamental aspect of this endeavor.

An artist simply has no other choice but to express himself through his chosen artistic medium… this is totally an intrinsic necessity, much like breathing, rather than a rational choice.  But, when an artist can use his talent for the palpable and measurable benefit of society and, more importantly, for the benefit, through education and nutrition, of the children of our global village, this then takes us all back to the original purpose and function of art: to transcend all the dimensions of our spiritual existence while elevating the human spirit into the realm of the divine.  I’m thrilled to join my creative energy with a soul-brother such as Daniel as we employ the universal language of music to recruit the help of our brothers and sisters worldwide and beyond towards this goal." -

In spite of living inside of recording studios since I was 20 years old, I had never felt the necessity of making a solo album, as I thought that such an endeavor would have little to contribute to the music world. However, when I, together with Frank, had this idea for this project, it became the priority of my musical life. Now I am finally able to realize my life-long dream of making music without constricting labels, style definitions, mathematical measurements, or rigid tunings…..literally, without any limitations whatsoever.”
